February 6th-Lewis Black Tour: 9:00pm, $45-$55 plus fees at Mont Bleu Resort Casino and Spa. This comedic sensation is known for his ranting and trademark style of yelling. He is able to blend his humor with the hypocrisy of the world including current events, politics, social media and more.
February 7th-The English Beat: 9:00pm, free show inside Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The English Beat joined the music industry during a time of upheaval, both political and social, with the goal of spreading their message of love and unity through a great dance beat.
February 8th-TOCCATA – Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus’ 10th Annual WinterFest: 3:00pm at St. Theresa’s church. Tickets range in price from $5 to $40. Featuring violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn, Gloria from the Bach Mass in B Minor, Tahoe Symphony Chorus, vocal soloists and Ms. Pitcairn, this is sure to be an evening full of great music.
February 9th-12th: Snowsports Week to Benefit the South Lake Tahoe Community at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort, $45 for lift tickets during these days. All proceeds benefit local foundations throughout the community including The Barton Foundation, Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation, Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care and Sierra-at-Tahoe Education Foundation.
February 11th: Watercolor Demonstration by Lady Jill Mueller, 6:00 pm at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center. Presented by the Tahoe Art League, this demonstration will showcase how Lady Jill Mueller uses different water color techniques.
February 12th: Barton Wellness Lecture – Sleep Apnea & Cardiovascular Disease with David Young, MD Barton Cardiology, 6:00pm-7:00pm, Free at Lake Tahoe Community College. All things sleep will be discussed at the event. Treatment for the following will be discussed, as well as the symptoms themselves.
February 13th: Starset at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 9:00pm, Free inside Vinyl. Their music is thought-provoking, dramatic cinematic rock full of personal quirks.
February 13th: St. Theresa Catholic Church Annual Crab Dinner Fundraiser, 6:00pm-10:00pm, $40 if purchased in advance and $45 if purchased at door. The event starts with cocktail and a silent auction and then goes into dinner at 7:00pm.
February 14th: Jefferson Starship at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, 7:30pm, $49.75. Starship just released a new single that is already climbing the charts. Not surprising as every album has either gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
February 15th: DJ/Producer Paris Blohm at Vinyl inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 9:00pm, $15. If you like trance and electro house music, LA native and former producer Paris Blohm’s music is right up your alley.
