- Change the locks
This is a safety first type task. Whether you trust the sellers or not, whenever you buy homes for sale in South Lake Tahoe, you should always rekey the doors or replace the locks. You have no idea how many people have copies of the keys to your new home.
- Deep clean the floors.
Of course a cleaner can be negotiated in to the closing details, however, a lot of times, they are not. Which means that before you start moving things in, vacuum and shampoo the carpets or the hardwoods. If your flooring is a little more high maintenance, make sure that you know how to clean your new floors without ruining the finish.
- While you are it, just deep clean.
